According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the journalist used a fake account "Daniel Jooshbaev" to publish materials that contained criticism of state authorities and structures. The Ministry claims that her publications served to discredit the authorities and escalate the socio-political situation.
It is important to note that Altynai Arstanbekova has not worked in any media for the past eight years, while she calls herself an independent journalist.
