On March 11, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the detention of a journalist suspected of inciting mass riots.

During the monitoring of social networks on March 9, an account under the name Daniel Zhooshbaev was discovered. This user posted materials that criticized government bodies and structures. The Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized that the publications aimed at "discrediting the authorities and worsening the socio-political situation."

Additionally, comments under some posts contained messages capable of destabilizing public peace and leading to mass riots, the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

In response, the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek initiated a criminal case under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning calls for mass riots.

Law enforcement officers and the State Committee for National Security were able to identify the account owner — she turned out to be journalist A.A., born in 1976.

Information about the detention of journalist Altynai Arstanbekova also appeared on social networks.
