On February 12, the investigating judge reviewed the request of the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the detention of the mentioned individuals on charges of "Mass Riots," according to the Criminal Code.
The court, evaluating the submitted materials, granted the petition and determined the detention of the mentioned individuals until April 10, 2025.
It should be noted that 75 citizens appealed to Japarov with a request to hold early presidential elections. Law enforcement agencies noted that some formulations from this appeal caused significant public resonance, leading to an "escalation of the socio-political situation" in the country. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under part 1 of article 278 "Mass Riots" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and on February 11, 75 signatories of this appeal were summoned for questioning by the police.
