Statement on the presidential elections. Two more detained
In Kyrgyzstan, two more citizens have come under suspicion for organizing mass riots. The press service of the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reports the detention of former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov and former governor of the Osh region Aaly Karashev.

Recently, information has emerged in the media and social networks that 75 citizens have appealed to President Sadyr Japarov and Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, requesting the immediate initiation of new presidential elections. This appeal was signed by scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.



According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, such actions could provoke political tension and cause public discord, threatening stability in the country and internal unity. In this regard, the investigative service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under the article on mass riots.

Earlier, in connection with the same case, Emilbek Uzakbaev, Kurmanbek Dyykanbaev, and Bekbolot Talgarbekov were already detained, the latter being one of the initiators of the appeal for early elections. The document was signed by 75 individuals, including scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and representatives of the public.
