
Law enforcement officers have detained the well-known public figure Bekbolot Talgarbekov. This was reported by his son Arstan Talgarbekov in an interview with 24.kg.
According to Arstan, early in the morning, police officers entered his father's apartment, located in the 8th microdistrict of Bishkek, with a search warrant. After the investigative actions were completed, Bekbolot Talgarbekov was taken to the Main Department of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for questioning.
The son of the detainee clarified that his father was accompanied by three law enforcement officers, while some of the police remained in the apartment to carry out procedural actions. Arstan also noted that all 75 signatories of the appeal have been summoned for questioning.
Meanwhile, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs denied the information about the detention and searches, as reported by 24.kg.
It should be reminded that Bekbolot Talgarbekov was one of the initiators of a collective appeal calling for the immediate holding of new presidential elections. This document was signed by 75 representatives from science, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and other public figures.
Earlier, the president's press secretary stated that Sadyr Japarov's words about preventing a split referred not to Kamchybek Tashiev, but to figures such as Bekbolot Talgarbekov, Emilbek Uzakbaev, and others.
