According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, news appeared on the internet and in the media the day before that a group of 75 citizens had addressed President Sadyr Japarov and Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbekov with a request to hold new presidential elections in the country. This address was signed by scholars, former prime ministers, former deputies, and representatives of the public.

Some formulations in this address have sparked sharp debates among citizens and heightened socio-political tension in the country, as noted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In this regard, the investigative service of the ministry has initiated a criminal case under Article 278 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning mass riots, and the detainees have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
It is worth noting that Bekbolot Talgarbekov was one of those who initiated the collective address demanding new elections. The document, signed by 75 participants, includes scholars, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.
Earlier, the president's press secretary stated that when Sadyr Japarov spoke about preventing a split, he meant not Kamchybek Tashiev, but people like Bekbolot Talgarbekov and Emilbek Uzakbaev.
