According to the press service of the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, on February 12, the court decided to remand in custody individuals detained in connection with the case of organizing mass riots. This information was confirmed to the editorial office of "AKIpress Digest" on February 13.

Thus, the following individuals will be held in pre-trial detention center No. 1 until April 10:

- A.K.S., born in 1966, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Kursan Asanov;

- T.B., born in 1955, coordinator of the "People's Parliament" and former head of the Prime Minister's Office Bekbolot Talgarkbekov;

- K.A.A., born in 1968, former member of the Jogorku Kenesh Aaly Karashev;

- U.E.U., born in 1955, former ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Emilbek Uzakbaev;

- D.K.S., born in 1960, former authorized representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Jogorku Kenesh Kurmanbek Dyykanbaev.

The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting an investigation into a criminal case that encompasses articles 41 part 2, 36, and 278 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, related to the organization and preparation for mass riots.

On February 9, information appeared on social networks and in the media that 75 citizens sent an appeal to President Sadyr Japarov and then-Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Turgunbek uulu, requesting the immediate holding of new presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan. Among those who signed the appeal were representatives of science, former prime ministers, ex-deputies, and public figures.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that some formulations in the appeal caused "widespread discussion among the population and exacerbated the socio-political situation in the country."

On February 11, Talgarkbekov, Dyykanbaev, and Uzakbaev were detained, and on the same day, Asanov and Karashev were also detained.
