In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, police officers have detained a suspect in the sale of narcotic substances. This information was provided by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city.
According to law enforcement agencies, on February 5, 2026, operatives received information that an individual known as "Zh" was engaged in the sale of potent drugs. In this regard, a criminal case was initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As a result of operational-search activities, police officers detained a man named Zh.O., born in 1995, near one of the houses on Fuchik Street. It was established that he was involved in the sale of hashish.
At the time of his detention, a dark substance with a characteristic odor was seized from him. Experts from the Forensic Center of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek confirmed that the seized substance is the narcotic drug hashish.
The detainee has been placed in a temporary detention facility, and investigative actions are ongoing.
