A man who was persuading girls to use mephedrone has been detained in Bishkek.
In the Lenin district of Bishkek, police officers detained a suspect for persuading citizens to use drugs.
According to the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs, a report was received at the duty station via service 102. One citizen reported that an unknown young man was offering girls a narcotic substance — mephedrone — at a house on Matyiev Street. The informant stated that his niece was at the specified address and had also been offered this substance.
The police immediately went to the scene. As a result of the check, the information was confirmed, and three individuals — two girls and a young man — were taken to the station.
The law enforcement authorities established that various types of drugs were used at this address, which was confirmed by a medical examination report. Evidence indicating the persuasion to use narcotic substances was also collected.

The investigative service of the Lenin district's Department of Internal Affairs has initiated a criminal case under Article 287 "Persuasion to use narcotic substances, psychotropic substances, their analogs, and potent substances, as well as public calls for their use and advertising" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The suspect, K.J., born in 1992, has been placed in the temporary detention facility of the capital's Main Department of Internal Affairs in accordance with Article 96 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The investigation is ongoing.
The police noted that criminal liability extends not only to the illegal circulation and use of drugs but also to persuading others to use them.
Law enforcement officials urge citizens to be attentive to their surroundings and strongly recommend that parents pay special attention to their children's lifestyle and social circle, as well as respond promptly to alarming signals.
