A suspect in hooliganism has been detained in Bishkek, reported representatives of the press service of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs. The incident occurred on January 17, 2026, at around 7:05 AM, when the Lenin District Internal Affairs received a report that a 30-year-old man had been admitted to one of the city's hospitals with a stab wound.
According to law enforcement agencies, the victim, citizen A.K., born in 1993, was hospitalized with a cut wound to the left shoulder.
It was established that the incident took place near a café on Selsovetskaya Street. The man witnessed a stranger beating his wife and attempted to intervene. In response to his actions, the attacker stabbed him twice in the shoulder with a knife and then fled the scene of the crime.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, classified as hooliganism. Necessary examinations have been appointed for further investigation.
Police officers quickly identified and detained the suspect, citizen A.A., born in 2001. He was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in a temporary detention facility.
The pre-trial investigation in this case is ongoing.
