The incident occurred in the morning of the same day at the intersection of Zhibek Zholu Avenue and Osmonkul Street, where two drivers got into a conflict. A video recorded by a passenger in one of the cars captured one of the drivers threatening the other, pressing a gun against the windows of his car and insulting him.
Based on this incident, a criminal case was initiated under Article 280 ("Hooliganism") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Police officers promptly detained the suspect, born in 1975, with the surname S.F. He was placed in a temporary detention facility.
A pistol was also seized, which, according to preliminary investigation data, was used by the detainee. An examination revealed that it was a gas-powered pistol, which has been sent for further verification.
An investigation is underway.
