In Bishkek, a suspect in a fraud case involving 1.9 million soms has been detained

Employees of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District of Bishkek have detained a suspect in fraud, born in 1998. This was reported by the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Lenin District.

The investigation established that in August 2025, the suspect, having deceitfully posed as a supplier of electric cable, managed to swindle 1,893,360 soms from the victim and soon fled.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning fraud.

The Lenin District Court of Bishkek has decided on a preventive measure in the form of arrest for a period of one month.

At present, the possible connection of the detainee with other similar crimes is also being investigated.
