On March 24, 2026, in the Kyrgyz Republic, as part of systematic preventive measures to counter religious extremism and non-traditional beliefs, an explanatory event was held for active members of the extremist religious group "Yakin-Inkar." This information was provided by the State National Security Committee (GKNB).

As a result of these activities, 27 members of this religious extremist group openly renounced their ideology and radical views. These individuals had previously actively participated in extremist activities and propagated banned ideas within the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic, the GKNB reported.

“These citizens have realized the error of their choice in religious direction, acknowledged the harmfulness of their beliefs, and expressed regret. They also stated their readiness to comply with the laws and regulations of the Kyrgyz Republic, to follow the decisions of the Council of Ulema, and the requirements of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK). Furthermore, they urged the public not to succumb to the illegal calls of members of the extremist group 'Yakin-Inkar,' emphasizing the inadmissibility of their activities in the country,” the GKNB added.

To date, the GKNB continues its work to suppress the criminal activities of the "Yakin-Inkar" group and conducts preventive measures aimed at preventing the involvement of new followers in banned religious organizations.

The State Commission also warns citizens about the possible criminal liability for participating in the activities of extremist and terrorist organizations banned in the Kyrgyz Republic.
