The funeral rites are scheduled for tomorrow in the village of Temir, located in the Issyk-Kul region. Relatives and friends have expressed their condolences to the Zheenetaev family.
The 41-year-old designer, who was sentenced by the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek, was sentenced to six years in prison under two articles: Article 278, Part 3 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (inciting mass riots) and Article 332, Part 1 (production and distribution of extremist materials) for publications on social media.
Zheenetaev, who worked as a designer for several publications, was arrested in November 2025. His lawyers plan to appeal the court's decision to a higher instance.
