According to Sydykov, the court's decision was made on February 13.
Zheentaev, who worked as a designer for several newspapers, was detained in November 2025. A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 278, Part 3 "Calls for Mass Riots," as well as under Article 332, Part 1 "Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation, or Mailing of Extremist Materials" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The charges were based on his publications on social media.
The lawyer noted that, at the moment, the defense has not been provided with a copy of the verdict. Relatives and the lawyer plan to appeal this decision to a higher court.
