The State Committee for National Security revealed cases of radicalization of teenagers via the internet
The State Committee for National Security (GKNB) reported several cases of the radicalization of minors via the internet over the past six months. Some of those detained were in the process of preparing terrorist acts, studying instructions for creating explosive devices, while others were already engaged in their direct manufacture. These facts pose a serious threat to public order and national security.

The agency emphasized that the internet, in addition to its educational and communication potential, also serves as a platform for malefactors who involve youth in radical ideologies, including terrorism and extremism.

According to the GKNB, radicalization occurs gradually: through social networks, messengers, and special websites, where teenagers are persuaded to adopt views that justify violence and offenses, ultimately altering their worldview.

In some cases, teenagers receive training in creating homemade explosive devices and are incited to attack law enforcement officers. In the Kyrgyz Republic, such actions, as well as preparation for them, are classified as serious crimes with criminal liability.

The GKNB notes that the process of involvement often happens unnoticed: through friendly conversations, manipulation, psychological pressure, and false promises. This affects the teenagers themselves, who may lose touch with reality, become part of criminal groups, and jeopardize their future.

Parents are advised to pay attention to changes in their children's behavior, such as:

- sudden withdrawal and change of habits;

- distancing from family and friends;

- manifestation of aggressive or radical religious views;

- hidden contacts with strangers on the internet;

- interest in dubious websites and closed groups;

- aggressive behavior towards loved ones;

- justification of violence or illegal actions.

The agency urges parents to monitor their children's online activity, maintain an open dialogue, and reasonably control their internet space.

If alarming signs are detected, citizens should immediately contact local GKNB units.
