Officials confirmed that the individual in question is Nurlan Umetov, born in 1992. He had previously encountered legal issues and was one of the activists of a local youth group. Later, he moved to Russia, where he became a victim of recruiters from the international terrorist organization "Katibat al-Imam al-Bukhari" in 2014-2015.

After that, Nurlan was transferred to Turkey and then to the Syrian region of Idlib, where he joined the militants. According to available information, he underwent training within terrorist groups and participated in clashes against Syrian government forces. He was killed in one of the battles.

Since 2016, Nurlan Umetov has not been in contact with his family, and he was placed on an international wanted list for participating in the conflict with foreign weapons.

The SCNS urges the population to be cautious and not to fall for the recruitment schemes of terrorist and extremist groups. The agency noted that radical organizations actively use social media to manipulate, promising false prospects and exploiting people's vulnerabilities.
