In the agency, it was noted that in light of the recent resignation of the head of the SCNS, there are actions by some interested parties aimed at discrediting the work of national security agencies.
“The published statements and their interpretations are one-sided and aim to undermine citizens' trust in state institutions,” the SCNS emphasized.
The press service also highlighted that national security agencies operate in accordance with the Constitution and the laws of the country, adhering to the principles of legality, objectivity, and public responsibility.
“The priority of the agency's work remains the protection of state security, constitutional order, the rights and freedoms of citizens, as well as countering threats such as terrorism, extremism, and corruption,” the statement added.
The SCNS expressed confidence that all questions and doubts should be addressed exclusively within the legal framework, based on facts and verified information. Attempts to discredit state structures without presenting evidence harm not only the specific agency but also the overall level of trust in society.
The agency called on representatives of the public, as well as the media and high-ranking officials, to refrain from harsh criticism of SCNS employees.
“Employees work diligently and with high responsibility, fulfilling their duties. The work to ensure the country's security will continue consistently and fundamentally in the interests of the people and the state,” the press service assured.
