The main objective of the raid is to identify pedestrians who cross the roadway in unauthorized places. In particular, this concerns volunteers and beggars collecting money directly on the road.
"These actions pose a serious threat to road safety and create difficulties for both drivers and pedestrians," the police noted.
Protocols were drawn up against 30 individuals under Article 190 ("Violation of traffic rules by pedestrians, cyclists, carriers, and herders") of the Code of Administrative Responsibility of Kyrgyzstan.
