According to the investigation, the detainees planned to sell prohibited substances arriving from abroad on the territory of Georgia.
During a search, the police seized over 18 kilograms of various drugs and psychotropic substances:
- 311 tablets of MDMA;
- nearly 9 kilograms of mephedrone and over 2 kilograms of methadone;
- up to 4 kilograms of hashish and 1.5 kilograms of clephedrone;
- quantities of marijuana, ketamine, and alpha-PVP.
The detainees have been charged with aiding in the distribution of drugs in especially large quantities. Under Georgian law, they could face a prison sentence of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
