According to updated information, the detainees, who are studying at a local university, used Instagram to sell drugs through an account named Indianproduct.
A criminal case has been initiated against them for illegal production, storage, and distribution of narcotic substances in large quantities, which is classified under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.


During the operation on November 1, two students from India were detained: D., born in 2006, and S.M., born in 2003. During a search of their residence, narcotic substances were seized, including about 1 kilogram of hashish and other psychotropic drugs.
Currently, an investigation is underway regarding the importation of drugs, and individuals involved in their transportation and distribution are being identified.
The GKNB reminds that any actions related to the illegal production, acquisition, storage, and distribution of narcotic substances and psychotropic drugs are subject to criminal liability.
