4.7 kg of hashish, 2 grenades, and 242,000 soms: Drug crime group activity disrupted in Osh

Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, engaged in the fight against illegal drug trafficking, have identified and neutralized an organized criminal group in the city of Osh that was involved in the large-scale sale of Afghan-origin drugs.

According to the information from the press service of the department, during a search of a Daewoo Nexia vehicle belonging to citizen S. O. B. (born in 1995), 101 grams of hashish and 155,000 soms were confiscated, which are now material evidence in the criminal case.

Additionally, during a search at the residence of citizen D. S. S. (born in 1989), 4.6 kg of hashish, 2 RGD-5 grenades, a homemade firearm, 51 cartridges, as well as 2,000 dollars and 87,000 soms were discovered with the help of a service dog.

The organizer of the criminal group turned out to be K.S.S. (born in 1982), who had previously had legal issues in other countries related to drug offenses. An emergency search was also conducted at his residence, during which Afghan hashish (chars) was found.

In connection with the events that occurred, a criminal case was initiated under Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, concerning the illegal production of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances for the purpose of sale.

All three suspects have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility in Osh.

The total amount of seized substances amounted to 4 kg 706 g of hashish, 2 grenades, 1 firearm, 51 cartridges, 2,000 dollars, and 242,000 soms. Judicial chemical examinations have been appointed regarding the drugs.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to identify other members of the criminal group.
