A Kazakhstani citizen was detained in Bishkek with 5 kg of synthetic drugs


Employees of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) detained a citizen of Kazakhstan with 5 kilograms of the synthetic drug "Alpha PVP," thereby disrupting the supply channel to Kyrgyzstan. This information was provided by the agency's press service.

The detention took place on February 8, 2026, during operational activities conducted as part of a pre-trial investigation under part 3 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The suspect has been placed in the SCNS detention center, and additional operations and investigative actions are currently ongoing to identify the organizers of the drug channel.

The SCNS noted that illegal production, acquisition, storage, transportation, and sale of drugs, as well as psychotropic substances and their analogs, are punishable by imprisonment for up to 15 years with confiscation of property.

The agency urges citizens to report any known facts of illegal drug trafficking, guaranteeing complete anonymity.
