In Bishkek, a suspect in car sales fraud has been detained

On March 28, the press service of the Bishkek City Police reported the detention of a suspect in fraud.

On July 26, 2025, one of the residents of the capital approached the local police. The man stated that on September 10, he had handed over his "BMW X5" to an acquaintance with the intention of selling it. However, instead of returning the money, the acquaintance spent it on his own needs.

A case was initiated regarding this incident under Article 209 ("Fraud") of the Criminal Code of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the police's operational actions, A.R., born in 1978, was detained. He has been placed in a temporary detention facility.

An investigation is currently underway.
