In the Ton district, the project "3+2+1" from the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry is actively being implemented, aimed at increasing the population of white yaks. According to the ministry's press service, local farmers have been successfully breeding these rare animals for ten years. Currently, the number of white yaks in the district has exceeded 300 individuals. Instead of using them for meat, farmers strive to increase the population, focusing on the preservation and improvement of the breed. The meat, milk, and hides of white yaks are of high quality and have export potential.
Special attention in this direction is given by one of the local livestock breeders, who has been breeding white yaks for ten years and has made a significant contribution to the development of this sector. His farm houses dozens of white yaks, and he is actively working on improving their breeding qualities. For his achievements, the farmer is applying for the title for a new type of yak - "Ak topoz Tashtanbek."
In addition, ministry specialists provide farmers with methodological support on issues related to animal husbandry, improving the feed base, and breeding work. Practical seminars aimed at developing and expanding this rare direction of animal husbandry are also being held in the region.
