Farmers in the Ton district are actively working on increasing the population of white yaks. Every year, they focus on preserving and improving the breed, avoiding the slaughter of animals for meat. The meat, milk, and hides of white yaks are of high quality and have export potential.
One of the outstanding farmers in the region is a local livestock breeder who has been engaged in breeding these animals for ten years. His farm houses many white yaks, and he is actively working on improving their breeding qualities. For his achievements, the farmer plans to receive the title of a new type of yak — "Ak topos Tashtanbek."
Specialists from the Ministry also provide methodological assistance to local farmers regarding maintenance, improvement of the feed base, and breeding work. Practical seminars aimed at developing this unique direction of animal husbandry are held in the region.
