In Bishkek, a new phase of price control on meat has been completed, as reported by city hall representatives. From August 15 to November 11, 2025, 266 raids were conducted to prevent unjustified price increases on meat products.
These measures were taken in accordance with the directive of the antimonopoly service under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
As part of the raids, municipal administrations of four districts, together with representatives of various services, including inspectors from the State Tax Service and the Veterinary Service, conducted inspections at major markets such as "Osh Bazaar," "Dordoi Motors," and other supermarkets and stores.
Specialists conducted checks at:
• major trading points: "Osh Bazaar," "Dordoi Motors," "Alamudun," "Orto-Sai," etc.;
• supermarkets: "Asia," "Globus," "Narodny," etc.;
• stores: "Ustukan," "Naryn ET," "Ogorod," "Elet," "Et Myaso," "Nuriko," etc.
In cases of unjustified price increases, the antimonopoly service applies penalties.
The Bishkek city hall emphasizes that control measures will continue to ensure transparency in pricing and prevent speculation in the market for socially significant products.
