In the Osh National Historical and Archaeological Museum Complex "Sulaiman-Too," samples of footwear used by the Kyrgyz in the 18th-19th centuries are on display.

This information was provided by the acting director of the museum, Khayrullo Ibaidillaev.

According to him, the exhibits include shoes made of wood and leather, for both adults and children.

Among the ethnographic items, one can find shoes dating back to the 18th-19th centuries. Some of them were donated to the museum by local residents, while others were found by the institution's staff," he added.

The museum houses the following types of footwear:

1. Wooden shoes, which were received by the museum in 1997;

2. Leather shoes, which were brought from the Kara-Kulja district of the Osh region in 1971;

3. Children's shoes, which were received by the museum in 1981.

"These shoes were mainly used during the winter period. However, it was probably difficult to walk far in them," concluded K. Ibaidillaev.
