In the summer of this year, the water level in the Kojashtken River reached a critical mark—over 250 cubic meters per second. This led to damage to the bridge, making it unusable.
As a result of the bridge damage, the border crossing was temporarily relocated to another site. Currently, the Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan is engaged in the construction of a new bridge.
West of the bridge is the village of Tul in the Sogd enclave and the "Paishamba" market, while on the eastern side is the village of Ötükçü [Otokchu] in the Kadamjay district.
