During the opening of the bridge on Auezov Street on November 29, the mayor of Bishkek emphasized that Chinese citizens do not pose a threat. "They are doing their work, building various facilities such as bridges, and will soon return home. We are learning from them, and with their help, we will complete a number of projects. There is no need to fear their presence, let alone provoke the local population," he added.

He also noted that a tender for the construction of the bridge in 2024 was held three times, but no local company agreed to participate.

According to Junushaliev, some companies considered the amount of 144 million insufficient, which led to the project being carried out by Chinese investors. "Let's create conditions for them to work, rather than be afraid. They have already completed one bridge and will begin construction of the second," the mayor noted.

The Chinese company will soon start work on the bridge over the technical channel of the Bishkek heating network, known as "mother-in-law's tongue." A representative of the "Bai-Tash Group" stated that the completion of construction is scheduled for June 30, 2026.
