It is reported that Depp will not only produce the film but may also take on one of the leading roles. The project, which currently has no assigned director, is being created by his company IN.2 Film in collaboration with producers Svetlana Dali and Grace Lo, who worked on the film "Jeanne du Barry." The announcement of the project was made at a film festival in Saudi Arabia.
The filming of "The Master and Margarita" is planned to begin at the end of 2026.
