Composer and performer Sherkul Duyshonaliev has passed away

At the age of 69, after a long illness, Kyrgyz composer, educator, and performer Sherkul Duyshonaliev passed away.

According to information provided by the Ministry of Culture, Sherkul Duyshonaliev left a significant creative legacy, recording both his compositions and works by other authors accompanied by various ensembles and a symphony orchestra, becoming part of the "golden fund" of Kyrgyz Radio.

Sherkul was born in 1957 in the village of Baytik, located in the Alamudun district of Chui region. He received his education at the Music and Pedagogical Institute in Bishkek.

He began his creative career in the pop ensemble named after Ch. Kojomjarov at the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after T. Satylganov, as well as in the ensemble "Narisete." For many years, he worked in the chamber choir of Kyrgyz Radio and was awarded numerous prizes at republican festivals. At the age of 26, he received the Lenin Komsomol Prize.

Among his most famous works are compositions such as "Jurogum sezhet," "Bulaktagy keldeshuu," "Tabiyat syry," "Kumar koz," "Könil bolso," "Oylonchu," "Sizge tanish emespi," "Uylönü toyu," "Ümüt," "Jashtar bii," and many others.

The peak of Sherkul Duyshonaliev's creative activity occurred in the 1980s and 1990s, when his first serious works were warmly received by the musical community.
