The ministry urges the population to be vigilant
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports a significant increase in cases of fires in residential buildings, both multi-story and private, related to malfunctions in electrical networks.
In the first 11 months of 2025, 3,388 fires were registered, and almost 60% of them were the result of violations in the operation of electrical equipment.
Analysis of the causes of fires showed that the most common factors include:
- outdated or damaged wiring,
- installation errors, overload of the electrical network,
- use of low-quality materials,
- incorrect selection of circuit breakers,
- short circuits.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens to follow electrical safety rules and regularly check the condition of electrical wiring.
