The Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan calls to abandon New Year's fireworks

In Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision strongly recommends refraining from launching New Year's fireworks.

This decision is related to the negative impact of pyrotechnics on air quality, especially during the winter period when, due to temperature inversions, the level of pollutants can significantly increase. Additionally, the use of pyrotechnic products leads to the generation of a large amount of solid waste and increases the risk of fires.

The ministry emphasizes that there are modern and environmentally safe alternatives, such as light installations, LED illuminations, and drone shows, which can create a festive atmosphere without harming nature.

In this regard, the Ministry calls on authorized state bodies, city administrations, and local authorities to organize a refusal of New Year's fireworks in the current holiday season.
