The mayor's office of the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, has decided to impose restrictions on holding New Year's corporate events in central government bodies and subordinate institutions. According to the press service of the mayor's office, this directive is aimed at reducing unnecessary expenses for New Year celebrations and ensuring public order, in accordance with the provisions of Article 44 of the law "On Local State Administration and Local Self-Government Bodies."

According to the established rules, the central apparatus, territorial divisions, as well as municipal enterprises and institutions are prohibited from collecting funds for organizing entertainment events related to the New Year celebrations.
Instead, only official events concerning the congratulation of employees and the awarding of prizes for the year’s results are allowed, and only within administrative buildings.

Heads of all organizations within the mayor's office have been instructed to monitor compliance with these restrictions and to prevent the collection of money or the organization of New Year's corporate events in subordinate structures.
