In Kyrgyzstan, there is a ban on the collection and use of certain types of plants

In accordance with the new decree, starting from May 28, 2024, a ban will be imposed on the use of the specified plants. This measure is aimed at protecting natural resources and rare species of plants.

Among the plants that are banned are:

macrothomia, arnebia, ash tree, aconite, Aflatun onion, rhodiola, Samarkand everlasting, as well as several species of beetles.
It is now prohibited to:
• collect and process
• sell and buy,
• transport and use,
• export abroad.

The main goal of this ban is to preserve the stocks of wild plants and prevent the depletion of their root systems and other underground parts, as well as to protect their natural habitat.

The Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic has temporarily suspended the issuance of permits for the harvesting of banned plants for both legal entities and individuals.
