In the capital of the United Kingdom, London, two identical art objects were installed with a small interval of a few days. This was reported by DW.

On Banksy's official Instagram page, a photograph of one of them was published, located in the suburb of Bayswater. The black-and-white graffiti depicts two children dressed in winter jackets, hats, and rubber boots. They are lying on their backs, looking up at the sky and pointing upwards. This artwork is on the wall of a dilapidated building, right above a garage with a corrugated iron roof, next to a container filled with trash and discarded furniture.

In central London, at the intersection of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road, the children in the graffiti seem to be pointing at the famous 34-story Centrepoint complex, built in the 1970s. This skyscraper is also known for having been occupied by activists in the past, who protested against the lack of affordable housing in the city.

Banksy continues to be one of the most mysterious and discussed street artists of our time. His works raise important socio-political issues and are executed in a unique technique that combines the use of spray paint and stencils. Each of his drawings serves as a symbolic statement reflecting current social problems.

The artist draws attention to pressing issues such as consumer vices, innocent victims of wars, and global warming. Experts note that he has managed to elevate graffiti to the level of art, something that no street artist had achieved before.
