According to the information provided by the press service, the document has already been reviewed by the permanent commission of the capital's kengash of people's deputies, which deals with issues of construction, ecology, transport, and utilities.
In the coming days, appendices to the design code will be published, which will be available for public discussion. Residents and representatives of the professional community will be able to submit their comments and suggestions.
The development of the design code for Tashkent was carried out in collaboration with Citymakers International, an analytical and design center, as well as Toshkent Invest Kompaniyasi.
According to the authors of the document, its goal is to create a comfortable, safe, and cohesive urban environment. It establishes clear and understandable rules for shaping the city's external appearance and promotes the development of a new culture of urban space that will be vibrant, tidy, and visually appealing.
It is also worth noting that starting in 2024, a unified design code is planned to be implemented in Bishkek, which, according to the mayor's office, will help restore the visual cleanliness of the city, which should contribute to an increase in pedestrian traffic and improve tourist attractiveness.
