At the public hearings dedicated to the master plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050, issues related to the placement of medical institutions and the accessibility of emergency care were discussed. The press service of the city hall reported on the results of these discussions.

Dmitry Pereyaslavsky, an expert in urban greening, noted the risks associated with the concentration of medical institutions outside the central part of the capital. He expressed doubt about how quickly ambulances would be able to reach patients if the main hospitals were located in the east and south of the city.
In his opinion, social facilities such as hospitals and parks should be evenly distributed throughout the city, rather than being pushed outside its boundaries.
Irina Grishechkina, the developer of the master plan and a specialist from the St. Petersburg Research Institute of Urban Planning, responded to these concerns, confirming that all existing medical institutions in Bishkek will be preserved. According to her, the city also needs to build about ten new hospitals.

According to the master plan, the creation of a separate republican hospital cluster and three new medical institutions is planned. Grishechkina added that work on clarifying the placement of these facilities is being conducted in collaboration with the city administration, and the number of hospitals may be revised in the future.

The developer emphasized that the main goal of the master plan is to reduce the need for trips to the city center for medical services. The concept envisions that residents will be able to receive treatment and services in their neighborhoods, which should reduce transportation load and improve access to emergency medicine.

She assured the residents of Bishkek that the future master plan will include the preservation of the current network of hospitals with a gradual expansion that takes into account the polycentric development of the capital.
