Public hearings continue in the capital of Kyrgyzstan, dedicated to the project of the General Plan for the development of Bishkek until 2050. The event is taking place on December 25 at the "Alga" stadium with the participation of representatives from the mayor's office, architects, and relevant services. This was reported by the press service of the mayor's office.
Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov noted that work is currently underway on the electronic version of the General Plan. This format will allow residents to more conveniently and visually familiarize themselves with the main planning decisions. The main goal is to increase the accessibility of the document and simplify citizens' participation in discussions about the future of the city.
Discussions also involve the chief architect of the capital, Meder Kydyrmaev, the deputy director of the Institute of Prospective Urban Development of St. Petersburg, Irina Grishechkina, and representatives of city services.
Azamat Kadyrov added that the mayor's office is open to dialogue and that residents can submit their proposals and comments at all stages of the development of the General Plan. The draft document was published on the mayor's office website on October 25, 2025, and is available for discussion.
He also mentioned that the possibility of providing open access to the General Plan is being considered, with the exception of sections containing data on engineering networks.
