A new conflict has erupted in Bishkek over the city's general plan. At a public hearing, one of the capital's residents reported that in the general plan project, about 300 private houses located between Masaliev and Babai-Ata streets are marked as state property. This information was confirmed by the city hall.

According to the resident, in the general plan documents, their area is highlighted in red, which indicates land owned by the state.

“Our plots are marked in red. This is private property; we have lived here for over 30 years. Why are our houses designated as state property? We insist that this be changed to yellow — the color of private property,” said Roza Bektashova.

Local residents express serious concerns about the potential consequences for their rights to real estate and land.

In response to the appeals, Vice Mayor Azamat Kadyrov promised that all comments would be carefully considered, and necessary corrections would be made to the general plan project to rectify the errors.

The discussion of the new general plan for Bishkek continues, and residents submit similar appeals daily.
