During the public hearings, Grishechkina noted that it would be advisable to limit the height of buildings in Bishkek to 12 stories, except for those areas where the state program provides for the construction of high-rise buildings in the central part of the city.
In response, the city hall emphasized that Grishechkina was referring to seismically hazardous zones, with regard to investment projects. In an official statement from the municipality, it was indicated that construction is supported provided that the necessary permits from the authorized bodies are in place.
Additionally, the city hall added that with all the required permits, it is possible to construct buildings ranging from 30 to 50 stories high.
