With the onset of long weekends and holidays, there is an increase in domestic conflicts that can escalate into offenses and criminal acts. In this regard, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has urged citizens to report cases of violence in families.
The agency noted that most serious consequences, such as bodily harm and threats, occur against the backdrop of domestic quarrels, alcohol abuse, and loss of self-control.
During this period, police officers are working in an enhanced mode, quickly responding to all reports concerning public order violations and family conflicts. Any citizen's appeal will be checked and assessed from a legal standpoint.
It is important to remember:
- the use of physical force, threats, and psychological pressure is a violation of the law;
- so-called "family disputes" are not a private matter if they affect the rights and safety of citizens;
- unlawful actions are subject to liability, regardless of familial ties.
Special attention is given by police officers to cases of violence directed at women, children, and the elderly. Each report on this matter is treated with heightened seriousness, and response measures are taken immediately.
If a conflict situation arises or there is a threat to life and health, one should immediately contact the police at number 102. Law enforcement agencies will take all necessary measures to protect citizens and prevent offenses.
