According to Saparbai, the number of such appeals has increased by 4,320. Additionally, there has been a rise in the number of victims who turn to law enforcement for protection orders.
He also noted that 31 cases of murder classified under the article on domestic violence have been registered in Kyrgyzstan.
This year, the police issued 12,756 protection orders, which is 20 percent more compared to the same period in 2024.
The average age of women who have become victims of domestic violence is between 25 and 40 years, the department head added.
It is worth reminding that on December 24, a tragedy occurred in Bishkek that caused a wide public outcry: an ex-husband killed his wife on her birthday. According to the police, at the time of the crime, he was in a state of alcohol intoxication.
