An investigation is underway into a case that is preliminarily classified as suicide.
On January 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM, the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Bishkek received a report that a man with a gunshot wound had been found. The information was provided by a domestic worker, who noted that a pistol was found near the body.
The investigative operational group promptly arrived at the scene. Upon arrival, they confirmed the information: a dead man named Z.H., born in 1967, was found in the kitchen of the house. A pistol, the brand of which has not yet been established, was discovered under his body.
"During the examination of the crime scene, it was established that the order in the house was not disturbed, and there were no signs of a struggle. An external examination of the body revealed no other injuries besides the gunshot wound. Based on the collected data, this incident is being treated as a suicide," the official statement indicates.
At present, the necessary examinations have been appointed, and the collection of information about the incident continues.
