In the city of Manas, streets will be closed from January 19 due to the dismantling of the railway.

Starting from January 19, the roads intersecting with the railway tracks in Manas will be temporarily closed, as reported by the local administration.

These measures are taken in connection with the commencement of dismantling works on the railway section from Jalal-Abad to Kök-Jaŋgak, which runs from the 406th to the 421st kilometer. The works are being carried out by the southern division of the national company "Kyrgyz Temir Zholu".

According to the order of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, traffic restrictions will be imposed on the railway crossings of the following streets in Manas starting January 19:

J. Bakiev Street;

D. Malashev Street;

B. Botokaraev Street;

Pushkin Street.

The street closures will occur sequentially, and traffic will be redirected to alternative routes.

The dismantling works are proceeding according to the established schedule and are expected to be completed by February 1, 2026.

It was previously reported that a four-lane highway is planned to be constructed at the site of the dismantled tracks.
