The highway will replace the old railway
Work has begun in Manas to dismantle the railway track, as reported by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
The activities are being conducted on the section between Jalal-Abad and Kok-Jangak, covering kilometers 406 to 421. In particular, the work affects the section from Bayzakov Avenue in Manas to Ormon Biya Street in Oktyabrsky.
According to the department, the last train passed through this route in 1998, after which this railway line was no longer used.
It is planned that the dismantling will be completed by February 1, after which the construction of a new highway will begin on the site of the old railway.
