The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held a meeting dedicated to the implementation of measures aimed at debureaucratizing the system of public administration.

Kasymaliev highlighted key areas that will contribute to debureaucratization. The main focus will be on providing citizens with quality, accessible, and timely services, as well as creating more favorable conditions for doing business.

“By 2025, significant work has already been done in this direction. Debureaucratization occurs in several stages. The first stage covers central government bodies, while the second involves the regions. We are starting a reform aimed at increasing the efficiency of local governance, reducing bureaucracy, and improving the business environment in the regions. If excessive requirements and procedures persist at the district and city levels, it slows down the decision-making process, and the reforms initiated at the central level will not yield the expected results,” he emphasized.

Kasymaliev also noted that each akim and local leader will bear individual responsibility for the quality of their functions. Local authorities have been tasked with eliminating duplication of functions, shortening decision-making times, and promptly addressing issues, as well as reducing bureaucratic barriers for businesses in the regions.

The pilot project will involve:

- 2 cities: Tokmok and Naryn;
- 3 districts: Nookat, Batken, and Tyup;
- 2 regions: Jalal-Abad and Talas.

During the meeting, reports on the progress of the debureaucratization measures were also heard, after which relevant instructions were given to the heads of both state and local authorities.
