The football club "Neftchi," based in Kochkor-Ata, announced the appointment of a new head coach for the upcoming 2026 season in the Kyrgyz Premier League. The position has been filled by 51-year-old coach Dmitry An from Uzbekistan.
Dmitry An has significant experience in Uzbek football. He worked for a long time at the club "Pakhtakor" in Tashkent, and in the last season, he held a position at the "Navbahor" academy. An is known for his focus on developing young football players.
One of the most notable players who trained under Dmitry An is the midfielder of the Uzbekistan national team, Abbos Faizullaev, who previously played for Moscow's CSKA and currently represents the club "Istanbul Başakşehir" in Turkey.
Another Uzbek specialist, Timur Babakhanov, has also joined the coaching staff of "Neftchi" as the assistant head coach.
After the conclusion of the previous season of the Kyrgyz Premier League, "Neftchi" finished in 9th place. Throughout the championship, the team was initially coached by Russian specialist Alexander Mochinov, and later the management was taken over by Kyrgyz coach Anatoly Vlasichev. It is expected that the appointment of Dmitry An will help the club achieve better results in the new season.
