The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan is working on the repatriation of medical personnel
Deputy Ministers Bakytbek Kadyraliev and Temirbek Erkinov led the discussion during this meeting.
Focus of the topic Hospitals and clinics are being built in Kyrgyzstan, but often there is no one to work in them
The main goal of this meeting was to discuss international experience in the field of medicine, as well as to exchange knowledge on training medical personnel and the digitalization of the healthcare system. Participants also explored how Kyrgyz citizens abroad can help in the development of local medicine.
Specialists shared their achievements in leading clinics around the world and proposed a number of initiatives aimed at improving the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan. In particular, they discussed the implementation of modern technologies such as bronchoscopy and NGS diagnostics, as well as relevant issues in oncology, pulmonology, transplantation, and anesthesiology, including hemodialysis and mobile clinics.
The greatest attention was paid to staffing issues.
Participants expressed their readiness to assist in training Kyrgyz doctors, organizing internships, conducting lectures, and attracting professors for master classes and surgeries.
Additionally, measures were discussed to create conditions for the return of specialists to the country and their involvement in professional projects.
The deputy ministers noted that the Ministry of Health views the participation of foreign specialists as a valuable support for the development of the healthcare system and will actively organize platforms for experience exchange. Among the proposed measures are in-person and online meetings in countries where Kyrgyz doctors live, participation in the Mirrahimov Readings, and digital reforms.
“The shortage of medical personnel is one of the most serious challenges facing our country. We are open to cooperation and will seek practical solutions to attract knowledge and technologies in the interests of our patients,” emphasized Bakytbek Kadyraliev.
The format of such meetings will be regular.
“The Ministry of Health will continue its efforts to create conditions for attracting foreign specialists to the scientific, educational, and clinical fields, including internships, expert support, and the repatriation of medical personnel,” the department added.
